I have always been around horses, my aunt ran the riding school at Elveden Forest Stables so horses are in my blood! I spent many hours there as a child which turned my passion into a living.

I pursued a career, and was fortunate enough to do my training under John Blake AWCF, who taught me the ins and outs of the trade, but has a huge amount of knowledge to pass on to his apprentices.

Passing my exam in 2010, I traveled, under the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association Cultural Exchange programme, around the USA for 3 months, working with some amazing farriers. On my return, I then began working for some of the best farriers in the country, further developing my skills and knowledge base.

I have since taken and passed my Association exam, making me a qualified remedial farrier. I was then invited to become a Master Farrier by Worshipful Company of Farriers. I am now studying for my Fellowship exam, which once I have passed, will mean I will be the only Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Farriers in Norfolk (as far as I'm aware!)

Part of the preparation for this exam has been to take part in competitions all over the country, winning and placing at most of the them! I also won best shod horse at the Royal International Horse Show.

I am the Chairman of the Eastern Counties Branch of the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association, regularly organising competitions and events such as the competition as the Royal Norfolk Show.

I have a great team who work with me and great clients who allow me to run a thriving business!

Sarah Pinkney AWCF

Sarah works full time with the business, she is hard-working, and frankly, her quality of work is amazing. She was also lucky enough to have done her training under John Blake, so we have a very similar way of approaching shoeing horses.

Sarah passed her Associate exam, one of only three women in the UK to do so.

Sarah has a great way with the horses, some of the horses on our round, just do not like men, so she is a great asset to the team, as she can deal with these clients and not upset the customer/horse.

Sarah regularly works on a Saturday if mid-week appointments aren't a possibility for you, give me a call to discuss a Saturday appointment.
